The 3rd and final match of the test series between India and Sri Lanka is going to be a thriller in the final day but India is ready to take the series by 2-1 as the visitors already lost 3 wickets for just 31 runs. Sri Lankan batsmen surprises everyone with their batting in their first innings. Both the experienced players of Sri Lankan players have scored centuries under pressure situation. The fight back of SL team in the Delhi environment was appreciated by every cricket fans.

‘Sir’ for a reason 

The umpire Nigel Llong decided to go with one more over as he took the reading on the lights meter. Indian All rounder Ravindra Jadeja utilized the extra over very well as he picked up 2 wickets in that over. Lakmal played a forward defence shot and the ball sneak through his defence as he only managed a bottom edge on to the stumps. Then comes the comedy moment of the day, Ravindra Jadeja appealed for the leg before wicket as he didn’t notice that the off-stump has been shattered.

Joel Wilson, the umpire was confused by watching the appeal of Ravindra Jadeja and then he signalled to Jadeja that the stump is rattled. Even the Jadeja himself laughed at him after realising the funny side of his appealing. Later, he said his teammates that he thought that the ball had struck the pads and that’s why he appealed for it.

Day 5 summar

On day 5, Indian openers decided to play aggressively and score the runs quickly as much as possible. Shikhar Dhawan scored 67 runs from 91 balls, Virat Kohli scored 50 from 58 balls and Rohit Sharma was unbeaten on 50 from just 49 balls and Kohli decided to declare right after the fifty of hitman. Cheteshwar Pujara missed his well deserved fifty just by 1 run as he departed after scoring 49 runs.
